• Evaluated drivers, constraints & business cases to developed new programmes, incorporate into existing risk management + BC + security policies, managed programmes incl. budgets, staff & user training, procurement for new equipment, testing (PoC) & evaluation new applications & hardware.
• Managed, 10 PM’s (50 staff) resources (contracted & in-house), reported to the IT director, stakeholder included senior management, focus group (50 regional IT managers) & external suppliers.

Major Contract: Y2K Programme Manager, DLWC, (Nov.98 - Jan.00)
• Established Project Office & processes, established new customised PRINCE2™ framework for the Y2K rectification Programme including ICT network infrastructure, Wintel, applications (SW), testing (PoC) test bed facility.
• Developed new risk management + BC (disaster recovery plan) + security frameworks & policies.
• Reporting to the IT Director, responsible for all Programmes throughout Head Office, City Office & 50 regional offices + State Valuation Office (www.avo.gov.au) & other smaller government departments with a team of 20 PM’s (+ 30 indirect technical) staff.
• Responsible for DLWC replicated Proof of Concept (PoC) testing facility for all hardware, software, firmware, applications, developed testing Programmes / procedures. Responsible for development & testing of the Disaster Recovery Plan.
Major Contract: Senior Design Architect, QANTAS, www.qantas.com.au, (Jun.97 - Nov.98)
• Managing a team of 10 (+30 indirect) staff / provided technical consulting & project management (framework: PMBOK® /PMI) within the Telstra / QANTAS $100 million Global Network infrastructure outsourcing replacement Programme for HQ & the 1000 worldwide sites / co-designed & implemented the worldwide Network Security Strategy / Business Continuity / delivered technical supplier contracts.
• Responsible for the design, development, management of the $3.5million testing facility & PoC testing. Developed methods to monitor & measure performance of Network, validate ATM & IP services levels, Business Continuity, security & VoIP services, responsible for all (in-house & “off the shelf”) software testing & validation & redevelopment, SLA’s validation, + validating other contractual agreements with Telstra services.
• Responsible for the audit & upgrade of computer rooms including structured cabling, UPS, AirCon, Racking equipment & safety in preparation for new infrastructure, deployment of new services to global sites.
