SIGNIFICANT ACHIEVEMENTS

• Start-up of the Frontier Mine Project (First Quantum Minerals Ltd) in DRC from scratch to full production (80,000 tonnes of copper concentrate/annum) (2006-2008). Ramp up of the full manpower (expatriates and locals, all levels, total 1,200) and alignment of all HR policies, systems and procedures with FQML Group and DRC regulations, implementation and maintenance of high level relations with local, provincial and national authorities.
• Creation of the HR Director position and of the HR function in the IPS Group (7000 employees, Turnover 400 Mios €) (1999-2001). Definition, design, implementation and monitoring of HR policies and procedures in all the subsidiaries (20). Formalise and promote integrated shared core values across the Group. Creation and management of the HR network in the Business Units (7 HR Directors or HR Managers)
• Upgrade of the Industrial Relations at Tetra Pak Dijon (1988-1992).Until 1988, several work outs and an annual strike during the salary negotiations happened at Tetra Pak Dijon (average 4.6 strike days/annum). Tetra Pak Int’l intended to close the site. As per 1989, the ratio went down to 0. In 1992 the new in-house flexo-process et the new Windmoller printing equipment were tested in Dijon
• Achievement of 3 social plans in IPS subsidiaries in Ivory Coast (2001). 300 personnes were terminated in good social conditions and with the approbation and the support of the local authorities (Ministry of Labour, Work Inspection , local representatives).
• Numerous recruitments for key positions (Directors, CEOs, COOs, MDs, experts, engineers, etc…) giving a significant added value to the host structure, in various sectors of activity in SAE, Tetra Pak, Air Afrique, LaSource, IPS, Lear, Placer Dome and FQML from 1986 to 2008
• Restoring of damaged Industrial Relations and Union Relations in Lear Cergy (2002-2004). The site was likely to be closed in August 2002 after only 2 years of production and several hard strikes. The dramatic improvement of the situation (0 strike in 2003-2004) leaded the customer to subcontract the manufacturing of his 1007 and 207 new projects to Lear Cergy in 2005.
• Re-definition of the expatriates policy and practices with comprehensive re-design of the compensation and benefits package at Placer Dome Tanzania.
• Complete refurbishing in cooperation with Air France and Royal Air Maroc of the safety training programme for Flight Attendants crews at Air Afrique (1992-1994). In 1996, during a Company aeroplane crash in Douala (Cameroon), all passengers were evacuated with no major injuries and within the top international airlines time standards
