Work Experience

Most jobs and projects I have done, can be characterized by risk management, project management, redesign and process management, intermediary, quality assurance, quality improvement and shaping. The activities are performed in an environment of high company sensitivity, high risk and a sense of urgency.
The following roles have been performed: program director, project manager, CFO, manager, assistant to principal, coach and consultant in the fields of financial service (reporting and (de)merger), banking, asset management and insurance industry (Life, Non-life and healthcare), national as well as international.
Main responsibilities are setting up new departments and projects i.e. new pension scheme, market risk, financial control and fast close (consolidation & reporting). But also (preparation of) decision making (including reporting about the progress and identified risks) by steering committee and by the board of directors. Other responsibilities are implementing new accounting rules (IFRS), solvency II data requirements and Basel II, quality assurance for (new) system changes, implementing new adopted legalisations and coordination / intermediary between departments/projects for speeding up progress.
Clearly defined tasks and responsibilities (i.e. internal control framework), SoX, IFRS requirements and sounding board are done in the role as consultant. As part of the job (personal) coaching is also included.
