Career summary:
I am a growth-oriented and highly talented Entrepreneur with a strong background in business operations (purchasing, logistics, project and business management), leading and motivating teams. I have 29 years of experience in these domains as well as excellent communication and leadership skills. With 15 years of experience in solar energy markets I have a very deep and broad view on the solar energy markets and opportunities in renewable energy and energy efficiency.

First 20 years of my working life at Philips Lighting.
From 2005 til 2009 CEO @ Ecostream International (utrecht).
Growing the solar systems company from €15 million in 2005 to €160 million in 2008
I initiated the growth of the company in a strategy of the holding company, Econcern, to become the leader in sustainable energy in Europe. Econcern and the rest of the group defaulted in June 2009 (the financial crisis made it impossible to complete the strategy as designed in 2007).
I was recruited by Econcern in order to professionalize the management of the company and get normal business process controls introduced. The managers of Econcern were self-made entrepreneurs lacking the appropriate training as I had experienced in Philips.

My own consultancy company established:
• 2009/2010: Consulted a German stock-listed solar trade and systems company (Colexon Energy AG) on its internationalization strategy and process. Realized considerable turnover growth for the company by expansion into four markets (CZ, I, F and B).
• 2010/2011: Consulted a Danish investor in his project development strategy in Italy.
• 2011/2012: Consulted and managed an American stock-listed R&D company for disruptive technology in solar cells. Trying to achieve a next level of funding. Regretfully the R&D results were not good and fast enough in relation to other developments in the market.
• 2011/2013: Setting up own matchmaking activities between project originators, EPC contractors and investors. Projects in France, Germany and Italy.
• 2012: Realized a seed-capital injection for a project developer in South Africa through a Chinese manufacturer of solar modules.
• 2012/2013: Exploration for private equity investor in setting up an investment fund and project development company for solar projects in The Netherlands.
• 2013/2014: Interim CEO Dutch solar wholesale company, SunConnex BV. Bring the company to a next level with innovative approaches. Develop and deploy a new business plan, manage the company, bring it back to profitability and attract new investor. Eventually move the company through a restart after bankruptcy in a NewCo with strong reduction of staff. Total focus on sales.
