• After doctoral degree in business economics at the Erasmus University in Rotterdam almost two decades with biggest family-owned Dutch multinational SHV (Energy and Cash & Carry Wholesale / 31000 employees), amongst others in South-America (CFO MAKRO-Brazil/Argentina) and Germany.
• Since 1987 active as interim-manager, coach and consultant in 35 assignments. Transition processes (recovery) in public and private owned companies as well as in governmental organisations.
• (Former) member of NCD (Dutch Association of Board Members), ORM (Dutch Association of Interim-managers) and IM (Register of Qualified Interim-Managers).

Downsizing (crisis management) of the Group - 130 employees - internationally active in the area of cold storage, logistics and distribution (Netherlands, Spain and South-Africa), partially through bankruptcies...
* General Manager Schoevers / Content (Temporary Labour Services)
Reorganising the division Education - 900 employees - of Content Holding (temporary labour); especially making the organisation mean-and-lean and reinforcing the commercial approach.
* General Manager JVH Gaming (Leisure Industry)
Taking over management from founder-owner of this internationally active company - 300 employees - in the field of gambling machines (biggest and most renowned in its sector in Holland); reorganising the development-, manufacture- en international trade-activities with the final objective to enable the company to have diluted the 100% ownership of the founder in cooperation with venture funds.
* General Manager Polyplastic (Synthetics Industry)
Enabling an internationally active company - 400 employees - in the field of plastic windows for trailers and mobile homes, market-leader in Europe, to survive; especially by selling off foreign activities (Belgium / Luxemburg) in order to prevent total bankruptcy and by reducing manpower through collective dismissals within the Dutch mother and daughter companies.
* General Manager Tempress (Semiconductor Industry)
Forcing inevitably to bankruptcy and restarting (through ASMI) a worldwide active company - 80 man - with an outstanding reputation in the developing and manufacturing ovens in the semi-conductor industry.
* General Manager Vereinigte Schraubenwerke / Nedschroef ( Automotive Industry (Germany))
Executing a heavy transition process in a German manufacturing company - 150 employees - active in the field of fasteners for the automotive industry; especially optimizing logistics, stock control, outsourcing and indirect labour.
* General Manager Hobart Brothers USA (Welding Equipment Industry)
Transforming the network of European subsidiaries - 50 employees - , active in the field of manufacturing welding- and aircraftsupportmaterial, to a mere trading company, amongst others by selling of two subsidiaries in France and Italy.
* Division Manager / Holding Director Steenland (Food Process Industry)
Reorganizing one out of two divisions and being the financial director in the two member board of the holding. Manufacturing company with 400 employees active in the field of chocolate, bread and bakery. The bread & bakery division belonged to the top five industrial bakeries in Holland, member of former SABA-association. The reorganisation included amongst others the liquidation of two processing plants and of a chain of shops (12 outlets).
* Division / Holding Manager Vendex International (Department Stores (Brazil))
Liquidating - eventually - the Brazilian chain of department stores (26 outlets) - more than 4000 employees - and reducing the related national head office - 200 employees - ; the whole Vendex organisation in Brazil employed 8500 people.
* Operations Manager Misset / Elsevier (Publishing Services)
Merging all staff-departments - 120 employees - in a separate organisation, rendering services to the 7 editorial divisions on a contractual basis; the whole company employed 700 people.
* Financial Director Nederlands Meet Instituut / IJkwezen (Ministry of Economic Affairs)
Managing all financial and administrative aspects in a transition process (from a ministry’s department to an autonomous company), 60 employees directly involved; the whole organisation employed more than 300 people.
