Role:
As consultant I am leading the development of a web based e-requisition/ procurement system.
The system will provide the facilities to create electronic requisitions which can be sent to (potential) vendors with an invitation to quote/respond online with both technical and commercial feedback for specific plant equipment items. Included is the facility for engineering disciplines to create detailed technical specifications for each equipment item along with references to applicable specifications, standards and project documents held in the electronic document management system.

Role:
As consultant provided Ericsson and her sub-contractor (IBM) with knowledge and management skills to facilitate migrating existing internet/extranet systems and related toolset into Ericsson’s new strategic E-business platform. The systems originally built in Microsoft NT environment (IIS, ASP, SQL7, java etc.) where migrated to Unix (Websphere, JSP, java and Oracle 8). I was involved as project manager and architect in the original development of the systems (see previous contract).As project manager I was responsible for managing projects that formed part of the total migration effort.Further responsibilities included guiding the newly formed service areas to set-up the necessary processes and competence to manage the systems within the new environment.

Role:
As senior project manager, I was responsible for managing complex multi-million dollar web development projects for the consumer division of Impiric’s major client Ericsson.The web applications form part of a global marketing E-Business strategy targeting both partners (B2B) and consumers (internet). As well, e-shops were developed for direct sales to consumers.My responsibilities included managing the full project life cycle from feasibility study through to deployment. This involved taking the initial strategic business requirements and defining the conceptual and functional requirements as well as the technical architecture. Project teams were comprised of up to 25 people at any one time. The systems developed are fully database driven utilising leading edge technology and in-house developed tools. They have been deployed in hubs placed in strategic positions around the world.

As project manager I was responsible for managing a major systems integration project for a prominent airport ground-handling company at Schiphol international airport.The project included the customisation, integration and implementation of a suite of productivity systems designed to automate core business processes, which included capacity planning, staff planning and rostering, and real-time allocation of human and equipment resources.
