I have management responsibility for Global Communications, published as a forum bridging
the digital divide of the world’s telecommunications community. It is distributed to all members
of the International Telecommunications Union (ITU) as well as via major international trade
events.

My role involves :
Reporting to the Group Publishing Director and Divisional Director.
Liasing with the International Telecommunications Union in Switzerland.
Calculating and projecting profit & loss accounts for the magazine.
Facilitating a team including editorial, production, subscription and distribution.
Researching the future trends of telecommunications and allied sectors.
Commissioning editorial from academics, industry experts and journalists.
Selling advertising with the sales team.
Managing targets, basic salaries, commissions and team motivation.
Co-ordinating the design and layout.
Arranging and managing deadline dates.
Maximising print-runs based on revenue and distribution requirements.
Leveraging the web site to support the magazine.
Organising and attending trade events around the world.
Ensuring a focused reader reply service is developed and managed.

Contract with Highbury House Communications PLC to publish two directories

My role involved:
· Reporting to B2B Divisional Sales Director.
· Arranging publishing contracts with the associations.
· Formulating directory format and style based on association brief.
· Co-ordinating association members to supply information.
· Developing web based data gathering site for products and services listings.
· Commissioning editorial from major ship builders and operators.
· Selling £147,963 worth of advertising into the directories.
· Assisting in the gathering of advertising materials.
· Overseeing the design and directory template.
· Sourcing and arranging a global distribution.
· Ensuring a focused reader reply service was developed and managed.
