PROFILE
I�m a passionate and experienced manager, with a proven track record to lead large and complex ICT organisations.
My key strength is to guide the organisation through change, for instance from a decentralised to a centralised team, or from in-sourced to outsourced. I have strong experience in establishing virtual ICT competence centers, spread over several European countries. My key strength is to build up and sustain teams of highly motivated ICT professionals, from various cultural backgrounds, and keep these teams focussed at providing quality ICT services for the business.
I have a proven track record of building up a highly motivated BPCS ERP competence center (1998-2002), as well as an Oracle CRM competence center (2002 to 2007).

PROFESSIONAL EXPERIENCE
CANON EUROPA NV
November 1997 � current
(1a) Division Manager, Business Systems division, European ICT Group, January 2001 - current.
� As Division Manager I organised and lead the build-up of an in-house Oracle competence center. The aim has been to build up a team of Oracle 11i consultants organised in virtual teams, located in several Canon offices throughout Europe.
� Simultaneously I lead the existing teams that supported the legacy environments. Typical organisation size: up to 120 Canon in-house ICT staff, spread over 12 European countries � approximately half of the team centrally in Amstelveen, the other half based in 12 European based Canon offices. Typical budgets were up to 35 Mio EUR annually.
o From 2001 to 2003 the main focus has been to build up a central team (based in Amstelveen) of Oracle specialists, mainly in the area of Financials and Supply Chain Management. This team grew from 5 to 25 staff in 3 years time.
 Simultaneously I lead the legacy support teams based in Amstelveen � 20 Canon staff plus 40 external temporary consultants
o From 2004 to 2005 the main focus has been to migrate the European based teams into a virtual Oracle competence center.
 Simultaneously I lead the local legacy support teams � 60 Canon staff based in all European Canon sales offices
o 2006: the focus shifted to expand and strengthen the Oracle support team in Amstelveen, after the Canon Board decision to centralise the Oracle support center in Amstelveen. The size of the Oracle competence center grew from 25 to 45 throughout 2004 � 2006.
(1b) Department Manager, Logistics System department, Canon Europa ICT division, January 1999 � December 2000
� As Manager I realised the implementation of the ERP backbone � based on SSA BPCS � for the spare parts logistics. Typical organisation size: up to 25 Canon in-house ICT staff, and up to 40 external temporary consultants. Typical budgets up to 15 Mio EUR annually.
� After implementation (summer 1999), I lead the support and development department, up �till my promotion as to General Manager
(1c) Project Manager, Logistics System department, Canon Europa ICT division, November 1997 � December 1998
� As Project Manager I drafted the plan and started all actions for the implementation of an ERP backbone � based on SSA BPCS � for Canon�s spare parts logistics optimisation in Europe and Middle East.

(3a) Team Manager / Team Leader, System Development team, ICT Business Unit, Product Support, Fokker Aircraft, September 1988 � May 1995
� After returning to Fokker from military service, I lead a team of 15, expanding to 25 system developers, that developed and supported applications for Fokker�s product support division. Applications ranged from mainframe applications to newly emerging GUI (windows based) applications.

� After graduating from University, I started my professional career at Fokker as Analyst / Programmer � ranging from maintenance and development on mainframe systems, to establishing a new SQL expertise center.
