Work Experience

I am a senior supply chain manager who numbers several "blue chip" companies on my CV. Based in the North West, I have operational and strategic supply chain management ( including some pan European) experience, at senior/ boardroom level.

My career spans the manufacturing (seven years where I primarily purchases chemicals and paper products) and services sectors, the last eight years or so being spent in the intensely competitive Financial Services sector. I am a corporate member of the CIPS, with a Masters degree in management studies (my thesis was on partnership sourcing).

I have spent the last two years implementing what is widely recognises as a "world class" Vendor Management Programme, concentrating on continuous improvement, implementing KPI's, performance measurement and supply chain re-engineering, at MBNA Europe Bank.
Prior to my current appointment I spent twelve months as Group Strategic Procurement Manager for AXA UK, dealing primarily with all types of support categories and professional services, this was a national role covering a multitude of sites and businesses within the UK. This role involved me heavily in pioneering change management strategies.

I have also spent three and a half years in an Facilities Management role setting and executing outsourcing strategies and managing and setting up contracts across a diverse range of commodities and services including "fit outs", and utilities. This resulted in a significant reduction in the Supply Base and streamlining of the supply chain.

During this time I was the senior procurement professional within the independent Group which numbered 32 sites in all and also had responsibility for fulfilment and warehousing.
