Project manager for a project to implement supply chain management in the EUMEA organization of a BU of a multinational. Objective was to implement supply chain management in order to reduce operating working capital, increase forecasting and planning, streamline business processes (including the improvements in SAP SD and MM) and to increase the output of the manufacturing plants. Project realized an EVA impact of 3,4 Million euro


• BP Exploration and Production UK
Project manager for a business improvement project to reduce operating cost of this Business Unit in the UK and to streamline their operational processes. Project was focused on the areas, Production, Maintenance and Logistics with the objective to increase output and reduce costs. Project realized sustainable benefits over 1 Million ₤.
• European Oil Refining company
Project Manager for a project to implement coordinated purchasing and to upgrade the maintenance management system. Objective was to reduce operational cost and improve plant reliability. Realized savings of euro 8,5 million.
• Chemical food specialties business group
Project manager for a supply chain management improvement program by implementing a performance management system in order to improve customer service and reduce supply chain management cost
• BU of Chemical multi-national
Project manager for a global supply chain management project. Project realized 25% EBIT improvement. During this project a supply chain management strategy was formed, the distribution network was completely redesigned and major improvements were implemented.

Project experience

 Basell, Brussel, Belgium
As Senior project manager responsible for a Supply Chain Management and New Product Development Project.
SCM project had the objective to reduce European stock levels of finished product. This was done by product rationalization and internal supply chain optimization. Results were a reduction in the number of products with 28% and a lead-time reduction of 17%.
The NPD Project had the objective to enhance new product development capabilities of the European organization including the implementation of Customer Relationship Management tools. The overall objective was to reduce Time to Market and to increase the Rate of Success of the new product development process. The project resulted in a time to market reduction of 39%.
 TotalFinaElf, The Hague, The Netherlands
As Senior Project Manager responsible for a business improvement project that focused on the Operational Strategy of the Dutch E&P business unit. Optimization for both their onshore and their offshore organization in the areas of production, maintenance and well intervention resulted in an OPEX reduction of more than 5 M US$.

As Project Manager responsible for a business improvement project that focused on the Operational Strategy of the Dutch E&P business unit. Optimization of their organization in the areas of production, maintenance, logistics and procurement resulted in an OPEX reduction of more than 2 M US$.
 Queensland Cement Ltd, Brisbane, Australia
As Senior Project Manager responsible for the asset optimization and organizational development project at QCL’s plants in Brisbane and Gladstone in line with their Total Productive Maintenance Strategy and to achieve an improved asset utilization and a lower cost base. Results were achieved by developing and implementing an Advanced Planning and Scheduling tool. Increased the plant’s output by 23%.
 Saunier Duval, Paris, France
As Project Manager responsible for a SCM improvement project for this Manufacturer of boilers for central heating systems. The scope of the project was the optimization of the total supply chain based on lean manufacturing techniques, with a heavy focus on: forecasting and planning, supplier integration and management, collaborative product design and internal supply chain optimization. Project resulted in a sustainable inventory reduction with 30% and a product cost reduction of 12%.
 Alpha Cement Ltd, Sandton, South Africa
As Senior Project Manager responsible for the business process redesign project and organizational development project at Alpha’s Dudfield plant, to improve asset utilization and realize a lower cost base according TPM principles. Part of this project was the implementation of SAP/R3 PM module. As a project manager responsible for the business process redesign and project management for this SAP implementation. Realized sustainable savings of over ZAR 10 M.
 Shell U.K. Exploration and Production – BU Brent, Aberdeen, United Kingdom.
As Assistant Project Manager responsible for an Asset Optimization and Organizational re-design project with the objective to reduce unit cost to £1 per barrel of oil and to implement a change program aligned with organizational aspirational goals. Realized over £23 M savings.

Role: Process Engineer/ Project Manager
Responsible for design and engineering and project management of various plants in oil, gas and chemical industry. Projects included:
 Area project engineer on both the conceptual and the detailed engineering of artificial sweetener plant for the Holland Sweetener Company, Maastricht, The Netherlands.
 Lead Process Engineer and Project Manager for conceptual and detailed engineering of a Bitumen Blowing Facility for Shell, Pilila, The Philippines. Part of this project was a 3-month assignment to the Philippines as a field project manager.
 Process Engineer for conceptual design of the L9 offshore facilities for NAM, BU offshore, Velsen, The Netherlands
 Process Engineer on a number of conceptual screenings for the development of some offshore gas fields in the Persian Sea for a joint venture of Shell and NIOC.
