Situation: development of an internet portal for the largest international corporate customers.
Challenge: in a political sensitive environment ensuring the development of a portal, enabling customers access worldwide to all products, services and market information. Responsible for development (Agile/Waterfall), risk management, testing and infrastructure. Dependencies to approximately 30 systems.
Role: reporting to the Programme Director: development and delivery of several software modules. Managing (groups) of PMs, architects, consultants, BAs, TAs and developers in the UK, USA, Hungary and India.

Tutor
OUB, training institute, The Hague, 2011 – present focus: teaching
Situation: product development and teaching classes for entrepreneurs in road haulage / passenger transport.
Challenge: in an environment dominated by mechanics, lorries, coaches and mileage, creating enthusiasm for the business part of transportation, in particular for EU regulations, processes and procedures, enabling them to obtain a (legally mandatory) certificate of professional competence.
Role: reporting to the Board: teaching Corporate management, Financial management, IT management and Personnel management to Board Members of companies in road haulage and passenger transport. Meeting IRU (International Road transport Union) standards. Development of teaching material, maintaining contact with (inter-)national institutions (emphasis on regulations and procedures). Performing consultancy activities.
End result: in comparison to competitors, the highest rate of graduates.

Programme manager
DSB Bank, financial institute, Hoorn, 2009 focus: delivery core apps
Situation: replacement of legacy core banking platforms and CRM system.
Challenge: in a strategically and financially unstable situation, replacement of core banking and e-commerce apps. Reluctance by staff members in adopting another new application.
Role: reporting to the COO: as programme manager responsible for delivery of an integrated Finacle core banking / CRM solution for Customer and Corporate banking. Development of company specific functionalities, testing and ‘going live’ of new software. Performed process optimisation as well as improvement of procedures and manner of working. Performed pilot for key customers.
End result: successfully implemented core banking and e-banking suite and data transfer, initial reluctance of staff members significantly reduced.

Mondial-IT, IT services, Utrecht, 2009 – 2011 focus: delivery / European tender
Situation: establishing an IT-services organisation.
Challenge: within the context of a supply driven market and decreasing rates, creating concepts for IT services (e.g. development and delivery) through which, by using the advantages of a mondial connected world (Egypt, India, Denmark), their USPs are a cost reduction, faster innovation, quality improvement and satisfied staff.
Role: reporting to the shareholders: as Manager the development of concepts, strategy, agreements and SLAs, performing market approaches, commercial activities, hiring of personnel, collaborating with external parties.
As Sr. Project manager creating work processes, establishing a PM office, implementing supporting systems. Externally involved in projects e.g. development of e-commerce systems (for a financial institute, an insurance broker and several retailers), consultancy activities (e.g. European tender for an utilities company) and contract management (for an IT supplier).
End result: a young, enthusiastic, energetic organisation bringing distinguishing added value, which is here to stay. Several orders / contracts with customers are realised.
