HR DIRECTOR

Did join the company as HR development manager, with the mission to replace the “close to retirement” HR director. Member of the Leadership Team
Main mission was to provide HR services and actions to employees and group of employees in order to raise their capabilities to achieve MACtac goals and objective.

Key accomplishments were:

• Create and implement MACtac Europe HR strategy, anchored to the business strategy.
• “Operationalize” HR strategy through a 3 main phases plan ( Structure & organization, Policies and processes, HR services delivery model)
• Participate as a member of the management team to the creation and implementation of the Organization’s 5 years strategic plan (3 times)
• Create and implement a monthly paid compensation and benefits policy
• Create and implement performance management program and policy
• Create and implement competencies management program for hourly paid as well as monthly paid. This was the base of the talent management strategy

International HR Manager

As International HR manager, Patrick’s main mission was to deliver HR services, aligning strategies and raising capabilities of International Operations. This was done through 5 main duties: Internal Consulting, Human Resources Services, Training and Awareness, Ethical and Legal compliance, Strategic development.

Key accomplishments were:

• Human Resources reengineering with as results a HR mission declined from company strategic intents, a cost effective way to deliver HR services as well as a 3 years implementation plan.
• Competency management through a strategic development process at the individual level linked with strategic intents of the organization.
• A Business Balanced Score Card declined from Company strategies through critical success factors and key performance indicators to a set of strategic measurements.
• Several cross-functional reengineering teams about organization transformation, Supply Chain, cost effectiveness etc… Results were an organization of 120 millions USD and at financial break even to an organization of 250 millions USD with an EBT of 24,5% and a ROI of 14,7%.
• Creation and implementation of the international HR function and organization.
• Compensation and Benefits alignment during the merger, with elements of best practices and cost effectiveness.

Country HR Manager

As Country HR manager, Patrick’s role was to manage local Human Resources in all aspects.

Key accomplishments were:

• Creation of the Belgian HR function and organization
• Outsourcing and suppression of non value added HR activities
• One merger, one acquisition and three major reorganizations (one with a collective lay off, one with the shut down of a plant) to insure cost effectiveness, business results and improve EBT.
• Creation and implementation of compensation and benefits policy, a performance and potential management system.

• TQM implementation with business processes improvement to insure financial objectives.
