2002 / May 1st 2007:
• Philips General Purchasing – department of Corporate Purchasing in Eindhoven (NL)
1. Role :Senior Director Strategic Purchasing & Business Development with reporting lines to Chief Procurement Officer (CPO) of Philips. Member of Management Team and responsible for business strategy (including ICT and supply (chain) management).
Managing a GLOBAL team of purchasing and procurement staff.
Involvement in activities with Business Consultancy (Professional Services/Business Process Outsourcing), Contract Manufacturing Services (CMS/EMS/OEM), Distributor businesses (High Tech/Semiconductors) and benchmarking activities. Responsible for managing transition towards Supply Management for the purchasing cluster.

Achieved results:
• Driving standardization across NPR sourcing categories (Consultancy, temporary labour, ICT, Logistics etc.).
• Forwarding & Distribution strategy development (based on McKinsey- and IMD Models).
• Coordination of Internal Control Systems (ICS and SOX), budgetary control systems, quality systems (ISO) and sustainability- and supply chain security programs with the Finance and Quality department.

o 4PL / Supply Chain Control Tower tasks (400 mio Euro activity),
o transport management processes (with portal technology).
Achieved results: Savings on current expenditure and process related savings (approx. 80- 140 mio Euro for one project).

1996/2002 :
• Philips Corp. Purchasing & Forwarding in Eindhoven (NL):
1. Role: Senior Director Purchasing. Managing complex logistics projects on divisional or site level and responsible for the e-strategy for forwarding & distribution
2. Role: Manager Global Purchasing. Purchasing of transportation/logistics services through a purchasing staff in Europe/Eastern Europe and joint responsibility for global co-ordination of purchasing activities for the modes of transport. Contacts with external companies in ICT, consulting, governmental and logistics area.
3. Role: Purchasing Manager. Global contracting/vendor management in transportation and forwarding business. In house consultancy for Philips business units.
Achieved results:
• Cost savings 10-15% on freight management programs;
• Introduction of new distribution concepts;
