Skills

Based on my assignments, my major role has been to help the CEO and assist Top Management in keeping a fair balance between business issues and people issues in the constantly changing world, adapting to new challenges, new technologies, new environmental elements.

My major contribution and focus are to overcome the reluctance/resistance of people to change at all levels, to analyse relationships between different departments, to analyse business systems and processes in relationship with the (internal and external) client, when they seem to be in conflict and to audit the effectiveness of people and processes.
Some major contributions are
- the implementation of competency management,
- assisting people in the transfer towards a new job/career,
- the (re)-engineering of departments and people processes,
- the development of new roles for the CEO, coaching of Senior Management Teams
- the implementation of Key Performance Indicators (KPI) and Progress Review reporting, cost optimization projects,
- integration projects,
- and last but not least participating in the start-up of new companies.

As a manager I combine the pragmatic approach of a business leader with the discipline acquired in the Air Force and the empathic personal approach necessary to understand people and marketing needs gained through training in psychology, sociology and economics.
