Work Experience

Before I started as freelance Consultant / Interim Manager/ Project Manager I had several senior consultancy and management functions at the ICT consultancy agency Intercai. After a shareholders exchange by Getronics in 2000, mid 2001 Intercai was fully integrated into the consultancy division of Getronics:

- Feb 2002 – now: Freelance Consultant (Rotterdam - Capelle a/d IJssel, the Netherlands). As Senior Consultant, Project Manager and/or Interim Manager responsible for formulation creative solutions with regard to business policy and technical issues in the field of ICT.
- May 2001 – Jan 2002: Managing Consultant (dept. Trade Transport Industry), Getronics Consulting (Utrecht, the Netherlands)
Almost identical function as previous, but after the purchase of Intercai by Getronics under the label of Getronics Consulting.
- Sep 2000 – Apr 2001: Market Unit Manager (dept Trade Transport Industry), Intercai Nederland (Utrecht, the Netherlands). Comparable, but more extended function with more responsibilities and authorisation as previous function. Recruitment and controlling of a team of 30-35 consultants with a turnover of € 4,5 Mio. Also as Business Consultant involved in several ICT projects;
- Dec 1994 – Aug 2000: Competence Centre Manager (Call Centres), Intercai Nederland (Utrecht, The Netherlands). Management over a P&L responsible business unit in Intercai Nederland. Recruitment and controlling of a team of 17 consultants with a turnover of € 2,5 Mio. Also as Business Consultant involved in several ICT projects, e.g. at Nike, KLM, Enertel/Energis, CLBN/Fortis, Scala;
- Dec 1989 – Nov 1994: Managing Director, Intercai Rotterdam B.V. (Rotterdam, the Netherlands). The management of an independent P&L responsible operating company of Intercai Holding. Recruitment and controlling of a team of 17 consultants with a turnover of € 2,3 Mio. Also as Business Consultant involved in several ICT projects like Postbank, CRI, FBTO/Avéro;
- Jan 1987 – Nov 1989: Business Consultant, Intercai B.V. (Schiphol/Utrecht, the Netherlands). Formulating creative solutions with regard to policy and technical issues in the field of ICT, e.g. AEX, Postbank, RAI.
- Jan 1985 – Dec 1986: Commercial Product Manager, PTT Telecom (The Hague, the Netherlands). Commercially responsible for the assortment policy of PTT in the field of analogue and digital PABX switching systems for the large business market (MD 110 en Sopho);
- Jan 1980 – Dec 1984: System Specialist, PTT Telecom (Leidschendam, the Netherlands). Formulation of maintenance and operation programs for public SPC telephone exchanges, in particular for type AXE of supplier Ericsson (AXE);
- Jun 1978 - Jan 1980: System Designer, DNW (Vollenhove, the Netherlands). Development and realization of hardware and software for several high-tech safety and control projects for several wind tunnel sections

- 2000: Huthwaite: several commercial courses (SPIN, ASMS);
- 2000: Hay Management: several courses for career coaching of employees (planning-, development, functioning and evaluation);
- 1999: BLISS Management: several management courses focussed on successfully acting in managing within professional teams

Skills

In previous functions I succesfully proved the next managerial, commercial and content related skills:

- Strong result focussed managing drive, gained since 1989 in several management and consultancy jobs, also on board of directors level with profit and loss responsibilities, in advanced ICT companies;
- Proven competent and stimulating coaching capacities to ICT professionals, including staff recruitment;
- Strong acquiring and sales qualifications, in particular suited for B-to-B sales of advanced services and products to medium and large businesses, with extended relation network;
- Excellent combination of skills and qualities for the (further) extend of the product en service providing portfolio of a professional adjusted (ICT) service provider;
- Recognised vision on market developments, with own expertise on broad area of Telecom and IT;
- Strong communication skills on all levels;
- Excellent skills in the field of project management and organisational changes.
