January 2002-Present: Interim General manager DSA-Vision, a software consultancy and development company. I was approached by the new shareholders of this organisation to reorganise it after 2 disastrous years. My responsibilities are:
o Making and implementing the reorganization plan
o Find additional funding/ selling the company to a larger industry partner
o Drastic cost reduction (closing 2 offices reducing personnel from 55 to 19)
o Maintaining sales and setting up a new sales organisation
o Implementing new working methods
o Implementing a new sales and marketing policy/negotiating a large new sales contract
o Corporate recovery, working capital management
o Clearing legal problems and claims

Nov. 2001-Present: Independent advisor for several municipalities and Telecom Utrecht (an affiliate of the Utrecht energy distributor) on how to realize a fibre local loop. My activities include:

o Negotiate with prospect financiers (BNG)
o Work in technical teams to realize the best network concept for the best costs

August 2000 – Nov. 2001: Manager Accounting & Control Bredband Benelux BV
Bredband. The company ended its activities in The Netherlands. My responsibilities were:

TAX management (from basic tax return filing to tax structuring schemes)

Support negotiations of a NLG 450 million vendor financing facility

Created a Dutchtone wide purchasing department

Business modelling for the spin off of KLM catering
Several Activity Based Costing projects in Europe and the USA
Managed a cost reduction and product pricing project for Pilsner Urquel in Pilsen (Czeck republic).
Managed an efficiency project in a chemcal (paint) plant in the Slovak republic
Implementation of a shared services center and an Oracle financials implementation for a Chicago based multinational. The job entailed extensive traval to the USA and 5 other countries in Europe
I taught cost management courses at the controllers education at Nijenrode University and the VU
Support and project leadership in various change management projects

Sept 1990-Sept 1991: Assistant Sales manager-export with Hunter Douglas Europe BV

Selling aluminium strip for Venetian blinds to franchisees in the Middle East. The job entailed travel to the Middle East

June 1999-Present: Advisor and shareholder in Coenen Rotating Discs. CRD is a venture that develops in co-operation with TNO a patent to be used in pumping devices. My support consisted of:

Jan 2001-Present: Assisted a small group of investors in a due diligence of a company that was spun off from VNU and doing the business development for this company. Business development consists of:
