KEY ACHIEVEMENTS

• Successfully resource managed a £100 million pound Systems Implementation Programme for PwC Consulting partnered with Fujitsu Consulting. This involved global recruitment of technical and business resources simultaneously across 5 work streams reaching a target programme headcount of 250 resources.

• Introduced and managed the resourcing function for the Operational Transformation Business Unit at Barclays Bank. This involved UK recruitment of technical and business resources simultaneously across 5 programmes.

• Managed the recruitment and assessment centres for Private Clients and International Banking Change Delivery Business Units at Barclays Bank. This involved recruiting 30 business resources into a central resource pool. I successfully delivered this 1 month ahead of target and helped the department for a further 3 months de-centralise their recruitment process.

• Designed, implemented and managed the induction for the PwC/ Centrica Bay Systems Implementation Programme accommodating 3 different companies and 3 different cultures across multi-sites.

• Designed, implemented and managed the induction programme for the Operational Transformation Business Unit for both permanent and contracting staff.

• Introduced and managed the induction programme for Private Clients and International Banking, Change Delivery pool.

• Co-ordinated the review process for PwC staff on the Centrica Bay Systems Implementation Programme in-line with the standard PwC group policies. This involved communicating and managing the time scales and challenging staff managers throughout the consistency check meetings to ensure continuity and bench marking.

• Co-ordinated the review process for the Operational Transformation Business Unit within Barclays Bank for permanent staff in-line with group wide policies. This involved communicating and managing time scales and challenging the group leadership team throughout consistency check meetings to ensure continuity and bench marking.

• Provided HR advice, guidance and career counselling for 150 PwC Consulting staff on the Centrica Bay Systems Implementation Programme in-line with group and programme policies.

• Provided HR advice, guidance and career counselling for 150 Barclays’ staff in the Operational Transformation Business unit in-line with group and departmental policies.

2003 – 2004 Resource Manager
Operational Transformation
• Designed, implemented and managed the recruitment for permanent staff interim managers and consultants for Operational Transformation across 5 business areas. I achieved a recruitment headcount of 150 staff consisting of 105 permanent, staff 10 consultants and 35 interim managers in-line with the programme demands.
• Designed, implemented and managed the induction process for Operational Transformation. Motivated senior executives and programme managers to present at the induction sessions.
• Co-ordinated the Performance Development and bonus and pay round process across the department working closely with staff managers and the HR Business Partner to ensure consistency and accuracy.
• Introduced a resource allocation process across the department to help develop a flexible and adaptive workforce.
• Owned the process of the introduction of a new timesheet system, worked closely with the project team to achieve implementation and accuracy.
• Championed the departments HR issues by giving advice and guidance on all issues (holiday allowance, career breaks, pensions, redundancy, disciplinary and grievance).
• Developed 2 administrative staff in the resource management team


PwC Consulting 1996 - 2003

2002 – 2003 Human Resource Manager
• Resource Managed the Centrica Bay Programme across 3 sites, 5 work streams and 3 separate organisations. Recruited Siebel v7, WebLogic, Oracle 8i, SAP and change management business capability to delivery this programme.
• Worked globally across all PwC business functions to ensure overseas staff had the correct staff allowances and podiums in place to work in the UK.
• Conducted and managed induction across multi-sites. Materials re-used on other PwC programmes.
• Advised all programme members with personal career advice and guidance, assisted with all HR concerns conducted general counselling where needed.
• Contributed globally to the utilisation targets across the organisation as a whole.

• Contributed to utilisation targets for Utility, JD Edwards and Oracle groups by resource scheduling 170 systems delivery consultants across global projects.
• Managed the Performance Development process for the business systems and integration team (100 consultants).
• Managed the recruitment process for the utilities group, increasing headcount from 100 to 150 for the business systems and integration team.
• Advised consultants on HR issues, career guidance and counselling.
• Developed 3 resource administrators in the Utilities group.

• Supported 200 systems delivery consultants in the submission and review of accurate timesheets and the initiation of project codes.
• Produced availability reports and utilisation management information for 5 Energy and Utility Partners Co-ordinated the Energy and Utilities recruitment process, arranged assessment centres, briefed candidates and liaised with agencies.
