Reviewed the industry funding arrangements, established operating budgets,

Managed the transition from the CatCo IT database project to Music

INTERIM MD/CFO. Working with the CEO of Svecia (Multinational Manufacturing
Company with operations in Sweden, USA, China, Germany, Italy, Spain, &
France),and representing the interests of the parent company Traction (Venture
Capital), to undertake a company stop loss & turnaround and prepare the company
for a private placement to financial institutions. Activities undertaken
include:
Full business analysis including group financials, strategic plans, and
operational performance resulting in a one-year immediately implemental
restructuring plan.

Introduction of new management systems and controls. Evaluation of ERP
functionality and improvements to ERP reporting models

Identification of possible acquisitions and joint ventures including
possible manufacturing partnerships in mainland China and Europe

Development of a single European structure involving downsizing inefficient
daughter companies in France, Germany, and Spain and centralizing financial
control at the European Head Office

Consolidation of over-diversified OEM activities, leading to reduced lead
times, cost, and greater control of, and integration of, OEM and own

PROJECT MANAGER. Reporting to the British Phonographic Industry Council, and
working with the CEO of PPL and record company senior executives to develop an
international authoritative music industry database CatCo to support
world-wide internet exploitation of music. The most significant,
groundbreaking, project the music industry has undertaken in recent times.
Activities undertaken include:
Market analysis to establish potential users, and document their
requirements. This included Amazon.com, Boxman, CDNow, GetMusic, HMV, Virgin,
MCPS, AIM, EMI etc.

Business analysis of data providers (record companies & PPL) to determine
data and system initiatives required to meet data user requirements.

Development of CatCo strategic objective, business plan, financial model,
and data model for approval by the BPI Council.

Liaison with the US music industry body (RIAA) to establish
internationalisation intent and determine remuneration structure for
intellectual property rights.

Negotiation with potential joint venture partners and preliminary contract
establishment with potential customers.

reporting to the parent company (Traction), to identify and oversee the
implementation of operational, systems and financial improvements. Activities
undertaken include:
Assessment of groups financial and strategic performance leading to the
restructuring of head office and some regional offices

Analysis of management systems, reporting structures and general
departmental communications between design, purchasing, production, and sales.

Evaluation of the ERP system (SCALA) with user, parameter, and data
integrity checks resulting in complete data cleansing, system upgrading and

PROJECT DIRECTOR. Managed the Global Restructuring of a major transport
organisation and its subsidiaries and subsequently advising upon a global
merger. Working with the CEO and the President s of the Asia Pacific and
Europe region based in Tokyo, but frequently operating in Stockholm, Oslo and
Southampton. Activities undertaken included:
Evaluation of the existing regional organisational structure and the
definition and implementation of a new global structure and supporting
management systems.

Transformation of a European agency structure into a branch office
structure and development of a Clearing House to enable effective and
transparent handling of income received and payments to suppliers.

Determination of activities to be centralised/decentralised and
establishment of new controlling guidelines and departments in conjunction with
assessing strategic options and developing strategic initiatives.

Developed cost/benefit analysis and implementation plans for productivity
improvement and merger synergies ($100 million +).

Establishment of benchmarks and KPI's in line with strategic objectives to
ensure accurate performance monitoring and the identification of effective
performance improvement initiatives for the newly merged company.

within the operating divisions of Utilities, Infrastructure,
Telecommunications, Manufacturing and Consumer Goods. Activities undertaken

outsourcing of joint water and electricity meter reading activities resulting in
