National and international manufacturer of inflatable games, rides and toys with annual sales of $10 million and 115 employees, all located at the Corporate Headquarters facility in Eagan, Minnesota.

Recruited into a newly created position as part of the corporation’s initiative to bring HR programs and services directly to employees. Given oversight for a 115-employee operation with a high level of employee morale, staffing, training and development challenges. Challenged to introduce new recruitment, career development, performance management, employee surveys and upgrade existing staffing, training and employment practices.

Human Resource Legal Compliance

•Within first month, conducted a large-scale HR audit to identify and correct deficiencies in employment practices, safety requirements and employee relations.
•Re-wrote all employees job descriptions to be legally compliant with the Americans with Disabilities Act.
•Provided complete HIPAA training to all employees and managers to ensure compliance with all applicable HIPAA regulations effective 04/04.

Recruitment & Training

•Streamlined pre-qualification, interviews and job offers to quickly place 30+ employees in two months.
•Partnered with area vocational and technical training schools to set up customized training for rehabilitated adults and welfare-to-work participants.
•Collaborated with the Safety Director to scrutinize workers compensation claims and identify trends rectified through program enhancements and rigorous claims management.
