· Appointed to ‘turn round’ region, which was recognised as a major problem area in the company, with poor profitability and customer service, a weak management team and major IR problems.
· Achieved target profitability – first time in unit’s history.
· Installed totally new management team.
· Resolved IR problems, including re-negotiating terms and conditions.
· Returned contracts to profitability through close cost control.
· Improved service levels to retain existing customers.
· Won new contracts in new markets with Rigid Containers, Anson Packaging, Modo Paper.
· First to win major contract with Hypermarkets fuel distribution – Tesco – 60 vehicles 140 drivers.

18 line bottling unit – 250 staff – short-term appointment to resolve supply and IR problems.
· Major improvement in supply by increasing productivity and flexibility of plant.

250,000 sq.ft. Bond & Duty Free Warehouse, Supply and Customer delivery fleet. 120 staff.
· Ran Successful operation until deciding to move into the third party distribution industry.

Prior Employment
After starting career with British Rail moved to Whitbreads in Gt Yarmouth as Traffic Planner/Transport Manager. Transferred to London by Whitbreads to assist in rectifying IR problems at major depot. Approximately 8 years.

Moved to Black & Decker starting as Traffic Controller and finally becoming Distribution Operations Manager. Areas covered included supply, Export/Import, managing high bay warehouse, packing lines and transport operation. Responsible for determining strategy and negotiating the contracting out of Distribution
