Role is for Programme management and consultancy within business development for ICS. Programme management includes managing programme at key clients such as Alpha Telecom, MCI WorldCom, Lucent Technologies, Equant and QXL. Consulting roles included:
• Development of business systems architecture engaging all functional departments
• Development and implementation of cross-functional process and procedures
• Analysis of impact of IP/GPRS/UMTS on fixed and mobiles services

Other role is to define and develop the e-Business strategy including products and services, sales and marketing and distribution plan for ICS. Responsibilities included:
• Define and develop the e-volve™ product strategy including partners and alliances management
• Develop sales and marketing for ICS including doing presentations and workshops at telecommunications and e-business conferences
• Develop e-Business strategy and implementation plan for large telecom re-seller
• Develop end to end e-Business application architecture

March 2003 – May 2003 Programme Management, O2 Group, Munich, Germany

Role was within the Group IS/IT organisation working with group CIOs and regional CIOs. Key responsibilities included:

• Management of IS/IT split of O2 Netherlands from rest of O2 group following the sale of Netherlands operating business
• Management of transfer of asset value of €20M
• Management of commercial negotiations, for IS/IT migration with venture capital firm who purchased O2 Netherlands
• Management of various project managers in the O2 units in UK, Germany, Ireland and Manx

Role was within the IS/IT programme office reporting to the head of Mobinil business operations systems. Key responsibilities included:

• Business process definition and implementation for new Mediation platform
• Definition of SLAs with internal functional parties such as Billing and CRM groups as well as external application vendors
• Definition of roles and responsibilities for new organisational structure for mediation group
• Liaison with internal customers for requirements for processes

Role was with the Lucent Consultancy team working with MCI WorldCom Director of Billing. Key responsibilities included:

• Development of project office with MCI WorldCom International to manage requirements, contract negotiations, service definition and SLAs
• Definition of business requirements for the migration to new version of Arbor OM/BP (10.x)
• Definition of organisational structure for MCI WorldCom for migration of new version
• Resource management of group of business analysts

Jan 2000 – August 2000 Business Process Management, Alpha Telecom, London UK
Role was within the IS/IT Programme office, which overlooked the overall IS/IT strategy for the company. Key responsibilities included:

• Definition and implementation of business critical processes for the implementation of new Jupiter Billing and CRM platform supplied by KSCL
• Liaison with internal Alpha customers and KSCL for requirements for the business processes
• Cross-functional implementation of business processes across the company
• Management of team of business consultants supporting the programme

October 1999 – Jan 2000 Systems and Functional Architect, Alpha Telecom, London UK Role was within the IS/IT Programme office, which overlooked the overall IS/IT strategy for the company. Key responsibilities included:
• Definition of strategic business functional architecture for the company based on acquisition of new Billing and CRM package
• Definition of functional and technical interfaces between the business systems
• Consolidation of strategic architecture with existing legacy architecture
• Communication and promotion of new architecture across organisation defining the business benefits of such an implementation

December 1998 to October 1999 Programme Manager & Business Operations Consultant, ICO Global Communications

Role was within the Business operations team whose responsibility is to define and programme manage ICO’s business operational capability including Provisioning, Billing, Fraud, SIM and Number Management and Care services. Key responsibilities were:
• To globally engage ICO’s distribution partners and get them operationally ready for ICO services
• Define and develop operational roles and responsibilities with distribution partners
• Define and develop service level agreements with internal ICO customers and external partners
• Define and develop business operations section in ICO’s main distribution agreement
• Manage the development of the ‘partner care’ functional requirements with ICO’s systems integrators CSC.
• Help define and develop Partner Care strategy

Initial assignment was to define and develop the relationship between Product
Development and Information Systems groups within WorldCom International.
I was also been involved on the cross functional project management of some of
the new products being introduced. Key responsibilities:
• Development and implementation of a IS requirements management process

• Development of a Platform Release Schedule for IS
• IS Programme Management of WorldCom’s largest project to date: ‘Project ‘98’ (installation of European wide Fibre Optic network)

July 1996 to October 1997 (Permanent) Senior Project Manager, Omega Partners (Telecoms Strategy Consultancy)

Senior Manager within the Telecoms area with full Client Management and Project Management responsibility. Clients have included Ericsson Europe, Ericsson US, PCS operators in the US and Asia/Pacific. Assignments which I have managed as senior consultant include:

• Defining a Global Channel Marketing Programme for Ericsson mobile phones. Successfully completed the UK Pilot market. The programme was rolled out on a global basis to 13 countries.

• Product marketing and product development of a new Ericsson Smartphone (Mobile Phone/Organiser). This involved working with the Product Strategy team in developing Customer Segmentation, Product Positioning, Competitor Analysis, Channel Distribution Analysis and Business case production.

Other assignments have included helping Omega in defining marketing strategies for PCS operators in the US and Asia/Pacific regions.

Sept 1994 to July 1996 (Permanent) Head of Business Analysis, T-Mobile UK (previously One-2-One)
Customer Services Directorate, T-Mobile UK, Borehamwood.

Role was to manage the Business Analysis Department, reporting to the Director of Customer Services. The department acted as an internal consultancy used by all the Directorates within the company. Activities included business analysis of customer requirements, Mobile Phones Service Management Strategy, Implementation Project Management, New Product/Services impact assessment, Business Process Re-Engineering, competitor analysis and MIS reporting. Key role involved extensive liaison with the Call Centre and the other commercial departments such as Sales and Marketing, Finance, Networks directorates. Excellent senior management level experience liasing with all the Directors and Senior Managers within the company. Budget management of 800k, and 4 teams. Full man management responsibilities including recruitment, performance reviews and counselling.
